SNAPPER

Phil caught his first snapper. What a nightmare to get it on land....1o minutes of struggling and nearly contrubuting a second rod he was proud to be the only one catching one at Westhaven Habour in Auckland tonight.

WAIHEKE

Spending a long weekend with Jana on Waiheke Island was very relaxing. Yes, we had to walk 30 minutes to our campsites and yes, it was basic and had no showers but what a spot right next to the water.

Philip met up with a friend for fishing. Enthusiasm ended up in a big disaster. He could not bare the thought of loosing some tackle and broke his rod instead.

Waiheke is the place for many artists and again gave us a opportunity to think or just shake our heads. Al least we had a cloud free day for some ideal pictures. To see more of them please click the photo tab on your right side.

VISITING LOU AND MATT IN CHRISTCHURCH

This year we spent Christmas and New Years Eve with Jana on the South Island, visiting Lou and Matt in Christchurch.

We also hired a car to drive along the east coast to Dunedin.

After climbing up those pan pipes we headed towards Wanaka. We enjoyed a fun day in Puzzling World with lots of optical illusions.

The cricket game was pretty disappointing. Yes, anything can happen but being rained off after 20 minutes the game carried on after 4 hours. That was rather time wasting. We were far to cold to carry on seeing the match and went to the pub instead.
